Cynar

Cynar (Chee-Nar) is an artichoke based liqueur from Italy.  It is also produced by the Campari group.  It was launched in 1952.  It contains 16 types of herbs and plants (3 are a secret) and is dark brown in color.

It is known as “the after dinner bitter” because it is supposed to aid in digestion.
